Buitenveen Aalsmeer: interior design for the whole family

A new home offers room for change: an eat-in kitchen, a workspace, or finally enough storage space. We help you not just to furnish rooms, but to design a home that fits the rhythm of your family.

Discuss your property

What does a typical morning in your new home look like? Coats, school bags, breakfast, and an early work call place different demands on a home than a beautiful, empty floor plan. For buyers in Buitenveen, our design starts with those daily routines. Furniture, materials, and finishes follow afterwards.

Buitenveen Aalsmeer is a neighborhood development with various housing types, districts, and construction phases. The neighborhood schedule is not an individual moving date. The phase information from developer Whoon also distinguishes between the sub-projects. For your interior, we use the confirmed data of your property, builder, and phase.

The ground floor as a cohesive living space

A large kitchen island might seem appealing, but there must also be room to push back chairs and walk to the garden. We design the kitchen, dining table, and seating area simultaneously. In doing so, we compare, for example, an island with a wall-mounted layout: what suits your family, cooking habits, and budget?

Storage is integrated from the very beginning. Think of an entrance where coats don't block the walkway, a cabinet for toys, and a closed-off spot for work gear. On the upper floor, we explore how sleeping, working, laundry, and guest accommodation can coexist. A room doesn't have to serve the same purpose forever.

A tranquil whole that can also withstand daily use

Your taste defines the atmosphere, but maintenance and usage also determine the choice. We discuss which surfaces are used intensively and where stain sensitivity or vulnerable edges might be inconvenient. We assess color and texture using samples. Suppliers confirm the properties and suitability of the chosen products.

We can visit showrooms together to view kitchen fronts, appliances, flooring, and fabrics. This makes differences tangible. The kitchen design remains part of the entire home; we therefore test any new showroom choice against the already established palette.

What needs to be done immediately, and what can wait?

Not every wish needs to be finished by moving day. We distinguish between fixed components that require preparation and purchases that can wait. Connections, floor construction, and built-in cabinets often require attention sooner than an extra armchair. The final sequence follows from your design and technical situation.

You will gain insight into design guidance, products, and the agreed execution. We identify outstanding items and discuss what a change means for budget and planning. Rive Home can also take care of finishing and installation within the assignment. Work by the project builder and tasks performed after the handover of keys remain clearly separated.

A practical start for your Buitenveen home

  • State your builder, phase, house type, and construction number.
  • Share the drawings of all floors and the current options list.
  • Describe a typical workday or school day and your storage needs.
  • Make a list of essential items and wishes for later.

At Project Noordwijk, you can read about a separate trajectory involving design contributions and interior finishing. It demonstrates our combination of collaborative thinking and execution, without suggesting we have already worked in Buitenveen.

Project information checked on October 15, 2026. Schedules are subject to change. Rive Home works independently for individual buyers and residents and is not an official partner of Buitenveen or the developer. The shown Rive Home reference is not an assignment within this building project.

Questions about your interior in Buitenveen

Could you please design only the ground floor first?

Yes. We can limit the scope of the project to the kitchen and living area. We will, however, discuss any interfaces with the staircase, entrance, and upper floor, so that future choices can connect logically.

Can the furniture from our current house come with us?

Yes. Please provide the measurements and photos. We will check them against the new layout and determine which additions are functionally necessary. Replacing everything is not the starting point.

Does every home in Buitenveen have the same schedule?

No. The project is being developed in several phases. We base deliveries and implementation on the confirmed information from your own builder and property, not on the general neighborhood forecast.
