Interieur Horizons Amsterdam: making your interior design choices well-prepared
A selection program provides options, but does not yet determine what suits you. Rive Home helps you prepare your project agreements and showroom choices with a cohesive interior design plan.
Enter your selection appointment with a floor plan, not just loose inspiration images. If you know where the table, bed, and workspace will go, questions about materials and connections become more concrete. For Horizons, we help you determine which choices suit your lifestyle and what additions will be needed later.
Horizons in the Amsterdam Sluisbuurt comprises various housing types, including apartments, two-story townhouses, and penthouses. The project offers guidance via Homestudios. Rive Home is not part of that organization; we can independently help you to look at your personal wishes and additional interior design in a cohesive way.

Make clear what is important before the showroom visit
We draw up a short design brief: who will be living there, which furniture will be kept, how much storage space is needed, and what atmosphere are you looking for? Then, we sketch out the main functions. This makes it clear why a certain kitchen layout, color, or material choice does or does not fit.
With this preparation, you can assess the project offer more effectively. We distinguish preferences from non-negotiable requirements and note questions for the buyer's advisor. Which options are included? Which changes have a deadline? What requires an additional quote? Agreements within Homestudios remain with the responsible parties.
A two-story townhouse requires different choices
For a home with multiple levels, we look at where work, receiving guests, and relaxation will take place. Storage space on the wrong floor can be inconvenient on a daily basis. The staircase and walking routes count toward the furniture layout; a space left over on paper is not automatically a usable workspace.
In a more compact apartment, the focus is more on multifunctional use. A table can combine working and eating, provided lighting and storage are well arranged. For a penthouse, we assess different proportions. The interior plan follows your floor plan, not one general Horizons concept.
What is still missing after the project choices?
After selecting fixed components, an important layer often remains: curtains, loose lighting, furniture, art, and targeted custom work. We create a cohesive selection for these. New products connect with what has already been agreed upon, so that the design is not retroactively supplemented with a second color or material direction.
For any work to be carried out after handover, we check the technical and building-related conditions. We prepare an overview of project deliveries and additional commissions. Products, design, and agreed-upon execution remain separately identifiable in the budget. This makes it clear who arranges what and which decisions require your approval.
A good start for the preparation
- Your construction number, floor plan, and available project options.
- The schedule of meetings and final selection dates.
- An overview of existing furniture and favorite materials.
- Your wishes for guidance alongside the project offer.

Questions about your interior at Horizons Amsterdam
Does Rive Home replace the guidance from Homestudios?
No. We offer independent additional interior design consultancy. We tailor the assignment to what is already being arranged through the project organization, so that work is not performed twice.
Does additional guidance prior to the decision-making appointment make sense?
Yes. A furniture and material plan helps to ask targeted questions and compare options. We begin with your living functions and available furniture pieces.
Can you help with furniture after the project selections?
Yes. We can translate existing choices into furniture, window treatments, lighting, and custom work. Any finishing work will be coordinated separately based on the delivery state and building conditions.
