The Vold Amsterdam: preparing your interior before getting the keys

Completion is still ahead of you, but some living requirements deserve attention now. We help you distinguish between choices that affect the construction and furniture or details that can be decided later.

Discuss your property

Starting early does not mean you have to order everything now. It primarily means knowing the layout you want, the technical questions involved, and when a decision needs to be made. For The Vold, we work from living requirements to a clear overview of design choices.

The Vold is located in the Amsterdam Amstelkwartier. According to the official FAQ, the first residences are expected at the end of 2028, with a possible delay until early 2029. A kitchen budget is included, and the kitchen will be installed after completion. The bathroom will be finished with choices available through the showroom. Check the terms and conditions for your specific residence.

Start with a layout you can verify

We draw the sofa, table, workspace, and cabinets to scale. This shows where light and connections are needed and which paths to windows and outdoor space must remain clear. For example, an additional workspace is only useful if you can sit there without blocking the path through the living room.

The options list and installation drawings form the technical boundaries of the design. We collect questions for the buyer's consultant and distinguish between desired changes and confirmed possibilities. The construction method of your specific home determines, among other things, what needs to be checked for wall mounting or built-in cabinets; we do not make assumptions about those possibilities.

Think beyond the available kitchen budget

An amount for the kitchen does not yet tell you whether the proposed arrangement fits your life. Do you enjoy elaborate cooking, would you like to sit at the counter, or do you prefer space for a larger table? We compare layouts and link appliances, workspace, and storage to the rest of the apartment.

During a joint showroom visit, we view samples alongside the intended floor and bathroom finish. We make it clear what is included in the agreement and what costs extra. Because installation takes place after completion, we coordinate preparation, measurement, and installation with a confirmed schedule. Also read about our custom kitchens.

Leave room for taste and changing needs

The atmosphere and material direction can be established early, while final fabrics and loose furniture follow later. This prevents you from choosing products long before moving in that no longer match your requirements. We maintain consistency with the fixed choices that have already been made.

With large window sections, we look at sightlines, privacy, and the difference between day and evening. A terrace route should not disappear behind a chair or curtain. Lighting and window decorations are matched to confirmed connections and mounting options. Furniture and custom-made orders only follow after the necessary measurements have been verified.

From preparation to transparent realization

We document what you receive and the guidance involved for each step. Design, products, and implementation work remain separately visible in the budget. Even without a definitive completion date, you can prepare in a targeted way, without making a fixed moving or installation commitment prematurely.

  • Kitchen budget and terms for installation.
  • Requirements for working, cooking, storage, and outdoor space.
  • Your priorities and budget direction for the entire interior.

Questions about your interior in The Vold

Is it too early to start with the interior before 2028?

No. Layout, features, and technical questions can be prepared in advance. We will schedule final product choices, measurements, and orders at appropriate times, depending on your home and deadlines.

What does kitchen installation after completion mean for my move?

The period following the key handover requires its own schedule for any necessary preparation, final measurements, and installation. We will coordinate the sequence as soon as access and dates have been confirmed.

Can I still choose furniture and fabrics later?

Yes. The design can establish a material direction and furniture plan, while final products are selected later. This leaves room for personal choices without losing coherence.
