Zuyderhoven Amstelveen: an interior design plan for the entire home

From the entrance to the upper floor: a new home works better when choices are made together. Rive Home translates your family life and personal style into an interior plan with clear priorities.

Discuss your property

A beautiful kitchen alone does not make a well-functioning home. In a multi-story home, daily functions are interconnected: storing groceries, working from home, hosting children, and sleeping peacefully. For Zuyderhoven, we first map out that cohesion before selecting materials and furniture.

The official project information distinguishes between phase 3 with ten villas and phase 4 with various housing types. Completion is forecasted for the first and second half of 2028, respectively. These are not confirmed move-in dates. We verify layouts, options, and decision deadlines for each individual property number.

Phase 3 and phase 4 do not call for the same design

For a detached villa, we examine how living spaces relate to multiple facades and the garden. An extra seating area can be nice, provided it is truly used. Large rooms require proper proportions between furniture, cabinets, and walkways; more floor space is no reason to clutter every area with extra furniture.

Phase 4 also includes more compact housing types. In these, the choice between a kitchen island and a different layout can have significant consequences for the dining table and seating area. We compare variants to scale and demonstrate exactly what space you gain or sacrifice. A design for a different home in the same neighborhood is not simply replicated.

The less visible spaces deserve attention

An entrance with a good coat closet, a usable laundry room, and sufficient storage space make a daily difference. We determine which items are needed on which floor. The workspace is given a conscious position in relation to family activities; a guest room does not have to remain unused all year round.

Materials connect the floors without making everything identical. We choose a foundation for flooring, wood tones, and wall colors, and add a unique accent to each room. For a master suite, we view sleeping, dressing, and bathroom use as one continuous route. Structural or installation-related changes remain subject to confirmation by the relevant parties.

Define the functions first, then choose the options

A furniture and kitchen plan helps discuss lighting points and connections before selection deadlines close. We compile the current list of options and indicate which questions should be directed to the buyer supervisor. Not every desired change is feasible within the project framework; the plan must fit within the confirmed boundaries.

Your designer can accompany you to showrooms for kitchens, materials, and appliances. We compare alternatives side-by-side based on aesthetics, utility, and total price. Subsequently, we distinguish between work performed by the builder, post-completion interior finishing, and furniture delivery. This keeps responsibilities clear.

A budget for the whole, with room to choose

We allocate the budget between fixed elements and loose furnishings. A custom cabinet used daily may take priority over the complete furnishing of a guest room. Design, procurement, and construction supervision are agreed upon separately; we discuss changes before ordering or execution.

Before we start, we need:

  • Your phase, housing type, and drawings of all floors.
  • The current list of optional upgrades and decision deadlines.
  • Your daily routines and wishes for the coming years.
  • A budget target for the entire interior.

Questions about your interior in Zuyderhoven

Are you making one plan for all floors?

Yes, that is possible. We consider functionality, use of materials, storage, and lighting as a cohesive whole. The design and any subsequent execution will be tailored to your requirements and priorities.

Is phase 4 the same as the villa phase?

No. Phase 4 features several housing types. We always use the drawing and terms and conditions of your specific home; the dimensions and possibilities of a villa are not universally applicable.

Can Rive Home also take care of the finishing?

Yes, for pre-agreed work. We first determine what the builder will provide, which tasks are possible after completion, and how quotes, planning, and responsibilities will be divided.
