Interior design for SPOT Amsterdam

From a new apartment to your own home in Hondsrugpark. With a personalized layout, carefully selected materials, and clear guidance through to the agreed-upon completion.

Discuss your SPOT apartment

Bought an apartment in SPOT Amsterdam, or getting the keys soon? You don't just want to order furniture; you want a home that fits your life. Where will the dining table go, how can a workspace be given a quiet spot, and which colors will connect the rooms? Rive Home helps you with interior design, material selection, and delivery of the agreed work, with personal contact with your designer.

SPOT is located in Hondsrugpark, Amsterdam-Zuidoost. The official project website states that the residences in Scarlet and Crystal have been completed. This makes designing based on the actual space possible: light, view, and existing finishes become tangible starting points. This project information was verified on October 12, 2026. View the official website of SPOT Amsterdam for current property information.

Start with your apartment, not a full shopping cart

A completed residence is not yet a personal interior. However, you don't have to start from scratch. We begin with an inventory: what finishes are present, what have you already chosen, and which of your own furniture items do you want to keep? What fits well remains the starting point. This prevents random purchases from dictating the rest of the design.

The towers and apartment types at SPOT differ. On the official pages, you can find more about Scarlet and Crystal. Always use the floor plans, purchase agreements, and finishes of your own home for your interior plan. A furnished model apartment shows possibilities but does not automatically tell you what is included with your purchase.

During a site visit, we look beyond the floor area. Think about door swings, connection points, the size of a niche, and the passage to the outdoor area. Such details determine whether a beautiful layout also functions comfortably.

Incorporate the view, without orienting everything toward the window

In an apartment, the view outside can mean a lot for the overall experience. At the same time, you want to sit, cook, and work comfortably. We investigate which lines of sight are valuable and where a piece of furniture can provide rest or shelter. A sofa doesn't have to be against a wall; a dining table doesn't have to be exactly in the center of the room.

  • Living and entertaining: we draw the sofa, armchairs, and table to scale, including space to move chairs and walk past each other.
  • Working from home: a workspace is given attention for daylight, potential glare on the screen, and the ability to store equipment after work hours.
  • Privacy: for each window, we evaluate the balance between visibility from the outside, the view, and light. The solution may differ per room and floor.
  • Sleeping and storage: bed size, cabinet doors, and walking paths are assessed together before bespoke joinery is ordered.

We compare several targeted layout options. This allows you to see what you gain or lose: more seating, a more spacious work corner, or more openness. Preferences arise from your usage, not from a standard furniture package.

A unique atmosphere, even when the base is already fixed

Perhaps your kitchen fronts or flooring have already been chosen. In that case, we don't look for a completely new start, but for convincing coherence. We lay wall colors, wood tones, upholstery, metal finishes, and window treatments next to existing materials. Sometimes one calm color brings multiple rooms together; sometimes an outspoken piece of furniture provides character.

Where possible, we view samples in your apartment. A color can look different near the window than in the back of the room. The palette must also remain pleasant in the evening. Therefore, we evaluate color, sheen, and texture together with the lighting, rather than just on a screen.

You can visit showrooms together with your designer. Then we test sitting comfort, compare finishes, and check choices against the overall plan and your budget. We agree on the number of visits and the level of guidance in advance.

For Residence Amsterdam, Project HH, Rive Home delivered the interior design in 2026. The images show how materials, light, and furniture can form a cohesive whole. Your SPOT apartment will receive its own design, tailored to the available space and your preferences.

Bespoke storage with a purpose

A custom cabinet is especially valuable when it solves something: coats out of sight, a lockable workspace, or storage around an awkward niche. We first determine what needs to go in and how you will use it. Then follow internal layout, fronts, and lighting. Building services must remain accessible.

We also look at the kitchen in connection with the living area. Retaining an existing kitchen can be a logical choice. If there is room for a new layout, we can help with the layout, materials, and appliances for a custom kitchen. Modifications to utility connections are first technically assessed.

A lighting plan integrated with your interior design connects task lighting with a relaxing evening atmosphere. Existing connections form the starting point. We only include new connections or interventions in walls and ceilings once the possibilities and any necessary permissions are clear.

Plan the work before setting your moving date

Having the keys doesn't mean all orders can arrive at once. We coordinate the furnishing with the work to be done, delivery times, and building access. Within the agreed-upon assignment, we clarify what is needed before the move and what can follow later.

  1. Site assessment and choices: checking measurements, documenting existing parts to be kept, and approving the design.
  2. Preparation and finishing: planning any necessary work before fragile furniture and final decor are placed.
  3. Delivery and installation: having bespoke joinery, lighting, and furniture arrive in a functional order.
  4. Furnishing and walkthrough: placing agreed-upon items and documenting any remaining points together.

For larger furniture, we verify the transport route. We check elevator dimensions, available access, protection of common areas, and any building rules with the property manager or homeowners' association (VvE). We make no general promises about what is permitted in every SPOT residence.

Hands-on coordination, clear decisions

Would you like Rive Home to also take care of the interior fit-out and project delivery? Then we establish which tasks, suppliers, and guidance are part of our assignment. You gain insight into design costs, products, bespoke joinery, and implementation, with a distinction between confirmed amounts and choices still to be made.

We discuss changes and their impact on costs and scheduling before any extra work is commissioned. You know when a decision is required and who is handling the next step. Read more about our workflow from design to realization.

What do you bring to an initial meeting?

Your floor plan, photos of the current finishes, and a few mood images are a good start. Also, tell us which furniture you want to keep, when you want to move, and how much you want to outsource. If you have a target budget, we will incorporate that from the start.

We then discuss what your apartment requires and which design and project coordination fits that. This creates a personal plan for living in SPOT, from the initial layout to the final agreed-upon finish.

Questions about your interior at SPOT Amsterdam

Can I start with interior design advice if I already live in SPOT?

Yes. We start with the existing property and your daily use. You can have a complete interior designed or a clearly defined part, such as the living room with workspace. We will discuss which work is suitable for an occupied home and whether a phased approach is necessary.

Do my new kitchen and floor need to be replaced?

No. We first assess which existing items align with your needs. An interior can also gain cohesion through furniture, wall finishes, lighting, window decorations, and custom work. We only suggest replacement when there is a clear reason for it within your requirements and budget.

How do you ensure that large pieces of furniture actually fit in my apartment?

We draw furniture to scale and check the relevant dimensions before final orders are placed. In addition to the placement in the room, the delivery route requires attention: doors, hallways, elevators, and any other transport options. We coordinate the practical requirements with the supplier and building management.

Can my designer come along to showrooms?

Yes, we can include that in the assignment. We make targeted visits to suppliers to assess things like seating comfort, fabrics, wood tones, or kitchen appliances. This way, showroom choices are tested against your design. We determine in advance which visits and guidance are included.

Can you arrange the interior design before my moving date?

We are investigating what is feasible based on your requirements, the necessary work, and current lead times. Only then will we finalize a schedule. If everything cannot be delivered on time, we will discuss which components are necessary for the move and what can follow later. We do not promise a fixed lead time without assessing your project.

Is Rive Home the interior design partner of SPOT Amsterdam?

No. We are an independent interior design company for individual buyers and residents. The services on this page are separate from the developer and the sales organization. The Rive Home design reference shown is for a different project, not a property in SPOT.
