23Stories Haarlem: interior design for your apartment
Good living starts with choices that complement each other. For your apartment in 23Stories, Rive Home will create a personalized interior design plan with a focus on sightlines, daylight, storage, and preparation for the key handover.
Your view is a given; the way you enjoy it is something you can design. In an apartment, that starts with the positioning of the seating area, the dining table, and your workspace. Rive Home helps you choose the layout, materials, and lighting based on your daily needs, so that no decision is made in isolation.
23Stories is located in Haarlem Nieuw Zuid on the Californiëplein. The official project FAQ and the news update from September 21, 2026 state that completion is expected to begin from the fourth quarter of 2027. This is a forecast, not a move-in date for your specific apartment. Align your own planning with updates from the builder.

A seating area with a view and a functional living room
A sofa facing the window can be stunning, but the route to your outdoor space must remain clear. Reflections on a screen and privacy also deserve attention. We examine the orientation of your specific apartment and draw furniture to scale. This allows you to compare where relaxing, dining, and working come together best.
We don't choose window treatments at the very end. The placement of tracks, the space required for curtains, and the difference between privacy and blackout needs influence the design. We assess material and color swatches in the home itself wherever possible; before completion, we work with drawings and schedule a later on-site check.
Let the property type ask the right questions
A compact apartment requires different choices than a larger home with multiple bedrooms. We first take inventory of what you are moving: clothing, books, art, hobby equipment, and daily supplies. A calm interior design not only has fewer items in sight but, more importantly, provides a logical place for what you use.
Custom work can make an entryway, wall, or workspace more efficient. We compare this with suitable standalone furniture so that fitted cabinetry doesn't become an end in itself. We incorporate existing furniture into the design. What you already value can be the starting point for the atmosphere and color palette.
Make choices before deadlines make them for you
The project FAQ mentions underfloor heating, cooling, and potential changes within certain limits. Therefore, we first request the specifications and the list of choices for your own home. Floor finishing, underlayment, and any acoustic requirements must align with technical regulations and building agreements; have the suitability confirmed by the involved supplier.
With a layout plan, you can speak more precisely about lighting, power outlets, and kitchen choices. Together, we can visit showrooms for materials and furniture if desired. You will maintain an overview of what is already fixed, which choices remain open, and which decisions depend on the builder. Even after a choice deadline has passed, we can investigate what is still possible for your interior.
A plan that also accounts for the move
We coordinate design, procurement, and any finishing work according to your priorities. Final measurements, transport via elevator and doors, assembly, and protection of common areas are all part of that preparation. We plan deliveries and work based on confirmed availability, not solely on a general completion forecast.
The quote distinguishes between design and guidance, products, and implementation. Open items and estimates remain transparent. If you desire different materials or additional custom work later, we will first discuss the implications for costs and scheduling.
Preparing for your first meeting
Before we meet, it helps to have the following ready:
- The floor plan, orientation, and technical description of your apartment.
- Your list of options and the deadlines you have received.
- The furniture you wish to keep and examples of your taste.
- Your budget range and desired moving period.
We will discuss together how much guidance is appropriate. Also read about interior design advice in Haarlem or view Residence Amsterdam, Project HH as a separate design reference.

Questions about your interior in 23Stories
When can I start with an interior design plan for 23Stories?
As soon as you have sufficient current property information to explore your options. The layout plan is especially useful before deadlines for additional work. We will have final measurements and technical possibilities confirmed before any orders or work are carried out based on them.
Can I choose any type of flooring for underfloor heating and cooling?
We do not assume that. We will have the proposed floor construction assessed against the system requirements, the supplier's specifications, and any building agreements. Appearance, maintenance, and technical suitability will be assessed together.
Do you also provide window decoration and furniture?
Yes, those can be part of the assignment. We coordinate the placement, fabrics, colors, and furniture dimensions with the interior design plan. In advance, we agree on which selection, purchasing guidance, and assembly Rive Home will provide.
