Ypsilon Park The Hague: interior design between home and park
A lot of glass and a generous outdoor space offer opportunities, but also require careful choices. We design an interior that leaves room for the view as well as for your own furniture, art, and way of living.
A spacious apartment does not automatically become a cohesive interior. The challenge often lies in the proportions: where is a comfortable reading spot, how far should the sofa be from the dining table, and which route to the outside must remain clear? Rive Home makes these choices visible in a scale furniture plan.
Ypsilon Park is located in Benoordenhout near the Oostduin-Arendsdorp estate. The project organization mentions 79 apartments and penthouses, with expected completion in 2027. The available units feature large windows, outdoor spaces, and customizable kitchen and bathroom options. Which of these apply to your specific home depends on your own purchase documentation.

Let the view be part of the layout
We examine the most important sightlines from the entrance, seating area, and dining table. A tall cabinet may be useful on one wall, while in another spot, it might obstruct the connection to the outdoors. A low cabinet, standalone armchair, or secondary seating area can help divide a large space without needing extra walls.
Furthermore, everything does not have to point toward the window. For reading, conversation, and watching television, other orientations are sometimes more comfortable. We discuss how often you entertain guests and which areas are used daily. This gives every zone a purpose, while the route to the balcony or terrace remains open.
From bright living space to a pleasant evening interior
A space with a lot of glass feels different during the day than it does in the evening. We coordinate window treatments, light sources, and reflective materials. Curtains can provide privacy and visually soften the room, but they must not obstruct doors or ventilation. We discuss the exact installation with the supplier involved.
For lighting, we distinguish between functional light, soft ambient light, and accents on art or materials. We link the desired controls to the existing installation without assuming every function is technically available. Read more about our interior design guidance in The Hague.
Kitchen, bathroom, and custom work as one decision process
We include your chosen kitchen and bathroom in the overall material plan. Wood, stone, and textiles are not approved separately, but reviewed in combination. During showroom visits, your designer can help assess the differences between an attractive presentation and a practical solution for your home.
A decision overview clarifies what is fixed, what is still open, and who needs to answer technical questions. The budget separates design, procurement, and execution. For custom work, we discuss not only the exterior, but also the interior, lighting, technical access, and assembly. For any additions, we request your approval on costs and consequences first.
The move is also part of the plan
If you are moving from a larger home, we take inventory of which pieces must absolutely come along. We check their size and accessibility in the new residence. Deliveries, elevator usage, and protection of common areas are coordinated with building regulations and the confirmed key handover.
- Bring floor plans and the orientation of your apartment.
- Make a selection of furniture and art you wish to keep.
- Share your kitchen and bathroom choices and known deadlines.
- Indicate the extent of design, procurement, and execution guidance you are looking for.

Questions about your interior at Ypsilon Park
How do I prevent a large living room from feeling empty or disjointed?
We divide the space into functional zones, for example for sitting, reading, and dining. Furniture dimensions, light, and sightlines are considered together. Not every empty wall needs to be filled.
Can you find a place for my art and existing furniture?
Yes. We include those from the start in the layout, material choices, and lighting. We ask for dimensions and images, and verify the conditions for assembly or transport where necessary.
Are you involved in the development of Ypsilon Park?
No. Rive Home offers independent interior design and agreed-upon realization to individual buyers and residents. Please request information regarding purchase, delivery, and project terms from the project organization.
