Interior Styling Bennebroek
The layout works, but the living room doesn't feel finished yet. A sofa feels detached from the rest, the curtains make it dark, or different wood tones seem to clash. Interior styling in Bennebroek focuses on that cohesion, using your existing interior as a starting point.
What material repetition can do
In our design for Project Aerdenhout from 2026, dark wood, light fabrics, and a warm stone pattern recur in multiple rooms. The large cabinets provide a clear backdrop, while textiles and rounded shapes soften the interior.
That does not mean that all materials in a home must be the same. A recurring undertone or texture can already provide a sense of connection. The images are of our design in Aerdenhout and serve here as an example of material usage.
Start with the furniture you want to keep
A comfortable sofa, a beloved cabinet, or a special dining table do not have to go just because you are looking for a different atmosphere. We look at the size, color, and position of those items. Sometimes, a different arrangement is more important than a new purchase.
Therefore, first make two lists: what you want to keep and what no longer fits how you use the room. Set aside pieces you are unsure about. This will reveal whether you are missing something in particular, have too much, or need different proportions.
Assessing color alongside the rest of the room
Fixed materials provide direction
The flooring, kitchen fronts, and large furniture usually last longer than a wall color. We take these into account when choosing new shades and fabrics. A wood tone does not have to be replicated identically, but it must work well with the other materials.
A sample is a beginning, not the final image
View color and fabric samples in your own space at different times of the day. Hold them next to the items you are keeping. A color can appear different next to a light floor than it does next to a dark cabinet.
The balance between furniture, textiles, and light
A rug can bring a seating area together, but one that is too small can make the furniture feel disconnected. The same applies to lighting: a lamp should suit both the location and the desired function.
We look at the decor from large to small. First the layout and the largest color planes, then window coverings, individual lighting, and accessories. Not every empty spot needs to be filled. Empty space also contributes to a pleasant room.
Do you want to have new fixed light points installed or custom pieces made at the same time? Then more is required than just the final styling layer. We include that in a detailed interior design plan.
Formulating a targeted styling request
Compare these two wishes, for example: “I want a calm home” and “I want to keep my dark dining table, but make the dining room feel lighter.” The second makes it clear what the starting point is and which choices we need to investigate.
Bring photos, rough measurements, and information about existing furniture. We will agree on whether you need help with a color and materials direction, a different furniture layout, or further selection of decor. The scope of the advice is determined in advance.

Questions about the interior
Can different wood types be used together?
Yes, they can. We look at the undertone, grain, quantity, and other materials in the room. The goal is a deliberate combination, not that every piece of furniture is exactly the same color.
Should I buy new furniture first?
Preferably not before the direction and dimensions are clear. Your current furniture can actually help determine which additions make sense.
Is styling suitable for a home without renovations?
Yes. Styling focuses on the decor and appearance within the existing space. As soon as the floor plan or fixed elements change, we will also discuss the design issues related to that.
